Vision

St Maria Goretti is a Catholic Primary School where we strive, with Mary as our Patron, to develop the whole person within a family atmosphere of Love, Peace and Justice.

With the support of the Faith Community, the school attempts to give each individual the opportunity to develop to their fullest potential.

In all these things, Jesus Christ is our Model.

St Maria Goretti’s Catholic School is a Kindergarten to Year 6 Catholic primary school which, with Mary as our patron, strives to develop the whole person within a family atmosphere of love, peace and justice.
Our student community consists of approximately 252 students. This number will expand to 440 students over the next six years. St Maria Goretti’s Catholic School caters for a diverse range of students and cultural groups made up from 28 different nationalities.

St Maria Goretti’s Catholic School was established by the Marist Fathers in 1956 and was managed by the Sisters of Mercy until 1984 when the first lay Principal, Mr Ian Pearce, was appointed.

There is strong community involvement in all facets of the school and along with the entire Faith Community; the individual child is given the opportunity to develop to their full potential with Christ as their model.

The key curriculum focus for 2015 is English with a focus on deconstructing and constructing text to improve comprehension.

St Maria Goretti’s Catholic School has commenced a new phase of expansion as it grows to become a full two-stream enrolment school.
