Our staff

At St Maria Goretti’s, our greatest strength is our people.

Our experienced and passionate teachers are committed to helping every child discover their strengths, develop their confidence and achieve their potential. They bring together professional expertise, ongoing training and a genuine understanding of children to create classrooms where students feel safe, supported and inspired to learn.

Our staff continually develop their practice across both academic learning and student wellbeing, with a strong focus on creating positive relationships, supporting individual needs and equipping children with the skills to thrive both in and beyond the classroom.

From literacy, numeracy and contemporary learning practices to wellbeing, inclusion and social-emotional development, our teachers draw on a broad range of knowledge and experience to support the whole child.

Together with our specialist teachers in Italian, Music, Art and Physical Education, we provide a rich and engaging learning experience that celebrates each child's individual gifts and talents.

At St Maria Goretti’s, we don't simply teach children — we know them, support them and encourage them to grow with courage, confidence and purpose.

Our Facilities

Spaces that inspire learning, connection and discovery.

Spaces to Learn, Play & Belong

A school environment designed around the whole child.

At St Maria Goretti’s, our learning environment extends well beyond the classroom. From contemporary learning spaces and our refurbished library to nature play, gardens, sporting areas and spaces for gathering and reflection, our facilities provide children with opportunities to learn, explore, create, connect and grow.

Every space has been thoughtfully developed to support the academic, physical, social, emotional and spiritual development of our students.

Our Library

A place to discover, imagine and belong

Our fully refurbished library is more than a place to borrow books. It is a vibrant learning space where children can develop a love of reading, explore new ideas and discover worlds beyond the classroom.

The library's dedicated spill-out area provides additional space for reading, small-group learning and quiet reflection.

Chapel & Faith

A place for prayer, reflection and community

Our onsite Chapel provides a peaceful and welcoming space for prayer, reflection and the celebration of our Catholic faith.

It is an important part of our school community, providing opportunities for students and staff to gather together and grow in faith, gratitude and a sense of belonging.

Celebrating Culture & Community

Learning from one another

Our commitment to community extends beyond the classroom. St Maria Goretti’s is proud to provide dedicated First Nation and Multicultural Playgroups, operating Monday to Friday.

These programs create opportunities for children and families to connect, share experiences and celebrate the richness of Aboriginal and multicultural communities.

Before & After School Care

Supporting busy families

Our onsite Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) provides a convenient and familiar environment for families who require care before or after the school day.

Being located on campus means students can transition easily between school and OSHC while remaining in a safe and familiar environment.

Nature Play

Explore. Imagine. Discover.

Our nature play area provides children with opportunities to explore the outdoors, use their imagination and learn through hands-on experiences.

Natural materials, open-ended play and opportunities to climb, build, investigate and create encourage children to take appropriate risks, develop independence and problem-solving skills, and connect with the natural world.
