At our school, we are committed to ensuring every child is known, supported and challenged to reach their full potential. We recognise that children learn in different ways and at different rates, and we provide a range of targeted support and extension opportunities to meet individual needs.

Our dedicated team of teachers and education assistants work closely with students and families to develop tailored learning approaches that build confidence, strengthen skills and promote success.

 

Targeted intervention programs, including MiniLit and MacqLit, are implemented to support students in developing strong foundational literacy skills. In addition, students may receive small group or one-to-one support from experienced staff to assist with literacy and numeracy development as needed.

To further encourage a love of reading, our before-school Reading Club operates in the library two mornings per week. This welcoming space allows students to read with teachers and education assistants in a calm, supportive environment, with families warmly invited to participate.

 

Extension opportunities are provided both within the classroom and through specialist programs. Classroom teachers differentiate learning to ensure students are appropriately challenged and engaged, while programs such as our Coding Club (run weekly for Year 6 students by Bricks 4 Kidz) offer further enrichment in STEM and problem-solving skills.

 

Through a responsive and inclusive approach, we aim to ensure every child is supported to grow academically, socially and emotionally, while being inspired to achieve their personal best.
